WILFUL MISSING LAUNCHED AT SANTIAGO

The cut glass chandeliers reflected the cut glass performance by Wilful Missing during their EP launch at Santiago in Leeds on Saturday night. West Yorkshire is, at present producing a rich vein of brilliant bands from all genre, with Wilful Missing up there at the top of the pile. Ignore the bands Alternative/Rock/Acoustic description of itself, and replace it with CLASS and you will not be contradicted by anyone who has either seen the band live or listened to their EPs. The five-track CD is a perfect prism of the high quality song-writing, accomplished musicianship and vocal delivery of a band, who through hard work and immense talent, make the most difficult of lyrics or instrument playing appear very smooth and easy. Along with outstanding tracks from the EP, the five-piece band included favourites including “Driving in the dark” and “I am clay” much to the delight of their adoring audience.

With the ever impressive Hee-Haw Sessions promoting the launch, plus support from Gary Stewart, this made sure it was a night and a launch to remember.
