DO YOU REMEMBER.....

BEDROCKS

The group was formed in Leeds in 1967 by Trevor Wisdom (Organ), Owen Wisdom (Bass), Lenny Mills (Trumpet), Reg Challenge (Drums), William Hixon (Guitar) and Paul Douglas (Saxophone) who got there break with a cover of the Beatles song OB-LA-DI OB-LA-DA, although Marmalade made number one with their version. The Bedrocks version was released on 18-12-1968 and reached a highest position on number 20 during its 7 weeks in the charts. Bedrocks were still releasing singles into 1970 for Columbia. Their track was recently played on Radio 2 on the Saturday morning edition of “Sounds of the Sixties” with your old mate, Brian Matthews.
