Raised within a family of musicians, it was obvious from a young age that Rosie Doonan would eventually perform and command respect within the music industry. An accomplished Sax player and guitarist, it is vocally where Rosie stands out from the crowd, as she delivers a body-full of enthusiasm throughout her sets. Being equally comfortable as a solo-performer or fronting the Rosie Doonan Band, Rosie has now also formed an all-female trio in the shape of Rosie Doonan and the Snapdragons. Featuring Cellist Sarah Smout and the multi-talented Katriona Gilmore, the band are quickly establishing themselves as a “must see” band. As Rosie’s star begins to shine ever higher and brighter, the recent announcement that her eagerly awaited album, will be released in the early summer, was the news here legion of fans craved. For the album, Rosie has brought together an impressive array of musicians to surround her with instrumental depth, and thus allowing her personality and musical class to shine through.
