STATION SPECTACULAR FROM CHANTEL McGREGOR

The doors of the male bastion of great lead guitarist’s, were smashed off their hinges on Sunday, as Chantel McGregor gave an awe-inspiring performance at the Station Tavern in Huddersfield. The mosaic tiled floor, reverberated to classic renditions, of Steve Ray Vaughan, Rory Gallagher, Chuck Berry and Bob Seger. The real fire battled in vain, to be as hot as Chantel’s playing, finally accepting defeat as the strains of the Hendrix classic “Third Stone From The Sun” hit the Yorkshire stone walls like a procession of rapiers. From being a 14 year-old learning her trade at the Melborn Jam sessions on a Sunday, to the complete performer seven years on, Chantel is now a confident and phenomenal performer who, thankfully, maintains a youthful exuberance. Chantel McGregor & The King BZ are one of the bands with a “Must See” banner hanging high above their listing.
