WONDEROUS WEST YORKSHIRE BANDS

THE DUNWELL BROTHERS
From harmonic to rock, this prodigiously talented Pudsey-based band, are on the verge of something very special. Their debut single titled, “Elizabeth” has now sold over 1000 copies within the first ten days of release, and which saw the band enter the UK Independent Singles chart last week at number 31. Their polished performance at the Brudenell Social Club recently, emphasized a band which could be described, harmony-wise, as an acoustic/country “boyband,” but with personality and music acumen by the truckload. The Grateful Dead set a benchmark for brilliant harmonic compositions, now prepare yourself for the musical explosion of a local band that are destined for greatness.

SCARS ON 45
The West Yorkshire music-scene should be immensely proud to have such a highly gifted band as this flying the flag for the area in the US. So far, this year has seen the band in LA, mixing their debut album with Mark Needham (The Killers, My Chemical Romance and Fleetwood Mac) and are now in Texas performing at the South By South-West Festival. Each of the musicians contributes fully, and wholeheartedly to give a tremendous collective sound, and with the shared vocals of Danny and Aimee adding extra class, this band deserve all the exposure and recognition they will surely receive over the next few years.
